Alastair has been Head Professional at Davisville Tennis Club since 2010. Alastair brings over ten years of experience in delivering top notch tennis programming, coaching and services to the members of the club. From grass roots development, to recreational programming, to high performance coaching, Alastair has a proven track record of creating excellent tennis programs with an unrivaled fun, knowledgeable environment.
Alastair is one of only ten “Tennis Canada Club Professional 3” certified coaches in the country. The “Club Professional 3” designation is the highest international level of certification in the field of club and facility development.
Alastair is a certified “Tennis Canada Coach 2” and a current “Tennis Canada Coach 3” candidate who works closely with some of the country’s best players in his role as High Performance Coach and Director of Progressive Tennis at Advantage Tennis International. Alastair is also certified as a Tennis Professional by the United States Professional Tennis Registry along with certifications for Wheelchair Tennis and Cardio Tennis. Alastair has produced top ten under 10 players in Ontario, top 5 under 12 players in the Canada, under 12 provincial champions and has toured internationally with ITF / WTA ranked players.
As well as having articles published in Tennis Ontario magazine, Alastair is currently Director of "The Supreme Court" a tennis training and media company. He has been the Head Tennis Assistant at Kew Gardens Tennis Club and at Wanaka Tennis Club in New Zealand. Alastair has experience in the private club sector having worked at The Boulevard Club for two winter seasons. Alastair has also worked for Tennis Canada’s U10 National Training Centre Program, Toronto Tennis Academy, North York Tennis Association and is honoured to have coached 2015 Parapan Am Games Tennis Doubles Bronze Medalist, Joel Dembe.
