Overview
Davisville has two competitive Intercounty teams playing at the A and B levels. All members of Davisville are eligible and encouraged to tryout for these teams.
Intercounty teams play from May until mid August. The A Team plays on Thursday nights, the B Team plays on Tuesday nights.
Tryouts will take place at the club on the following dates (weather permitting) from 7pm – 10pm:
- A Team - April 20, April 22, and April 23 (if necessary)
- B Team - April 27, April 29, and April 30 (if necessary)
There is no pre-registration to tryout for a team. However, you must attend a tryout session as well as pay the $10 tryout fee in order to be considered for an Intercounty team. You cannot tryout until you have paid the tryout fee.
The Tryout Scene
- You will be assigned to a court and given five minutes to warm up
- You will play 4 games with each of the 3 players on your court (to equal 12 games).
* A B versus C D (4 games)
* A C versus B D (4 games)
* A D versus B C (4 games)
- You will play No-Ad. Scores. It is the receiver’s choice to decide to whom the ball will be served to, unless it is a mixed doubles match, in which
case, the server must serve to the same sex.
- Your session will end after 40 minutes of play
- You must report your scores at the end of each 40 minute tryout session
- You will likely be required to play multiple tryout sessions during a tryout night
