Round robins, House League, tournaments and ladders are back!

Three new round robins are coming up shortly. We are thrilled to be able to bring back House League, our own spirited in-house team competition, and begin a season of tournaments to crown new champions!

As of now, we have not been given the go-ahead for instructional tennis. That means we cannot start any clinics or other lessons yet. It also means that rating sessions are on hold, too. But we’re ready to roll as soon as we get the green light.

The next round robin, open to daytime and regular members, will be held next Wednesday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be spots for 20 playersRegistration will open for daytimers on Saturday, May 29, at noon, and for full-time members on Sunday, May 30, at noon.

We’re also going to double the fun by holding two regular member round robin sessions on Sunday, June 6. The first round will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m, and the second round will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be room for 24 players in each session.. Registration for both opens on Tuesday, June 1, at 10 a.m.

Registration for House League opens this Sunday, May 30, at noon! We will have room for 48 male and 48 female players, with separate sign-up lists. Please head over to Events under Court Reserve to sign up.

The cost is $20. The schedule is not complete yet, but matches will run on Thursday nights. The House League season will kick off on Thursday, June 10!

We’re looking for team captains, so if you want to play a leading role, please speak up to our president, Stuart Teather (president@davisvilletennisclub.com)
