Online booking rules

These rules apply except During Tagboard Sessions Held Every Wednesday, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Every Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

General Rules for online booking

Much of the court booking at Davisville is done online. Unless the tag board is in use, no court time will be available during club hours for people who have not reserved in advance through the online system.

Weekday Daytime Adult and Junior Members are allowed to book courts for play during the daytime (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday only).
Full Junior and Adult Members can book courts for play during all club hours on weekdays and weekends.

  • Members will be able to reserve court time through the Davisville website on our membership platform called Court Reserve. Members can also download the Court Reserve app (available in the app store) to book using their phones.
  • Phone reservations for court time are discouraged in favour of members making their own bookings online, but will be accepted while the club is open and staff are working. Cancellations: Players must cancel reservations online or with a court steward. Failure to do so will result in penalties.
  • Ladder bookings are part of the 2 live bookings rule. No extra booking allowed for ladder players.
  • Lessons booked with our pros do not count towards your 2 session limit. Private and semi-private (2 people) lessons can be booked with Brian Ahlberg. Brian can be reached at headpro@davisvilletennisclub.com

All court time at Davisville (except when tagboard is in effect) must be booked online. No show-ups without prior booking allowed.

Court time can only be booked in one-hour time slots.

Members are allowed two "live" rolling court bookings at any one time, including two-hour back-to-back bookings. Please also see rules 7 and 12),

Bookings open 6 days (to the hour) in advance of the court time on a sliding basis (e.g. Tuesday for the following Monday).

Courts must be booked with a minimum of two players, and a maximum of four. Courts cannot be reserved with only one name. (The exception to this rule is if you choose to have an OPEN booking. See Player Matchmaking)

Players have 10 minutes from their booking time to show up; after that, they lose the reservation.

Players cannot play for three contiguous court time slots.

Bookings may be modified up until playing time but this must be done through Court Reserve.

Using an incorrect name when booking is subject to penalties.

Players appearing on court must be the same as those named in the booking system.

Members can only book court time for themselves and others scheduled to play with them. Anyone not named in the booking cannot be on court during that reserved time.

If a player is named in someone else’s court booking, this will count towards their current booking times.
Rules when tagboard is in use:
1. Using the tagboard will not count toward your two rolling court bookings.
2. Members cannot be tagged on the tagboard at the same time as they are on court playing a session booked on-line.
3. Members cannot tag up for a time immediately proceeding or following a session booked on-line.
4. Members cannot make on-line bookings for immediately proceeding or following a tagged session.



GUEST Rules:
1. Each member is allowed to bring up to four guests per month.
2. Each individual guest can only play four bookings per month.
3. Guests have to follow all club rules. Members are responsible for informing their guests of these rules.
4. Each guest has to pay a fee of $10 per day.
5. These rules apply to all members: full-time and daytime adults and juniors

AT THE COURTS:

Important things to know

Players should show up 10 minutes before their scheduled time. They must check in with the court steward on duty. 

Players who are not removed may play through if desired, but not for 3 hours in a row.
Players arriving more than 10 minutes after their scheduled court time lose their court time.

Court Timing
Davisville is open from 8:00  a.m. to  to 10:30 p.m. on weekdays; 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays; and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.  

Penalties:

Members abusing the booking system will have their booking privileges suspended.
First Infraction: Warning
Second Infraction: 2nd Warning
Third Infraction: 1 week
Fourth Infraction: 1 month
Fifth Infraction: Remainder of the Season
